WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS TO GET A DRIVER'S LICENSE IN VIRGINIA?
Check out the Virginia DMV Requirements page.
IF A JUVENILE IS CONVICTED OF A MOVING VIOLATION, WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES?
On the first conviction, the student will be required to attend a driver improvement program. The second conviction would result in an automatic loss of license for 90 days and on the third conviction, automatic loss of license for one year or until age 18, whichever is later!
AFTER GETTING A LICENSE REINSTATED, HOW LONG WILL ONE BE ON PROBATION?
After getting the license reinstated one must drive for two years without a conviction in order to have a totally unresrtricted license. If the operator is convicted of an offense during the first 6 months, the operator will once again lose his/her license for 90 days. If the reinstated driver recieves a ticket after 6 months without a conviction, then on a subsequent conviction will once again lose the license for 90 days and the 2 years probationary period begins again.
