.....Ken Chatham has taught Driver Education for over 30 years and has owned and operated the Driver Education School of Virginia since 1981. The Virginia Department of Education honored him as the 1993 Regional Teacher of the Year . He has been the recipient of that honor from the Colonial Beach Jaycees (1992), the Colonial Beach K-12 faculty, the Fraternal Order of Eagles (1994 & 2002), and in 1999 was recognized by the Colonial Beach Lions Club as Citizen of the Year. He has served as the Chesapeake District Governor of Ruritan National (1989) and has recieved many honors associated with community service. He is a founding member, life member, and cardiac tech with the Montross Volunteer Rescue Squad and has been a CPR Instructor for over 30 years. He has been a teacher at Colonial Beach High School since 1973, and currently teaches Biology there.
.....Ken Chatham graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1973 and completed his Master's Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia in 1982.
.....He has been certified by AAA to teach their highly acclaimed Driver Improvement Program and their newly developed Driver Improvement Program for Commercial Operators. This program has been approved by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and the Driver Education School of Virginia has been approved by DMV to offer these courses. The Driver Education School of Virginia has two convenient locations. The original location in Montross is immediately beside Washington & Lee High School on State Route 3. The Tappahannock location is on 17 and 360 at the stoplight between Parr's Drive-In and June Parker Mobil Gas.
.....Ken Chatham is married to Gwynne Chatham, who is Clerk of the Circuit Court of Westmoreland County. They are the proud parents of Ken II and Tiffany.
